Harini Amarasuriya, a Delhi University alumna, has been appointed as Sri Lanka's 16th Prime Minister. She studied Sociology at Hindu College from 1991 to 1994. Amarasuriya is the first woman to hold this position since 2000 and has been given multiple key portfolios in the new cabinet.
