Asian private wealth has jumped from 6% of the global total 25 years ago to 21% today, according to data from BCG. Singapore pulled in $765 billion in wealth inflows between 2019 and 2024, while Hong Kong attracted $975 billion. More than 80% of that is coming from within Asia.

Other works in the race for the big prize included 'Flashlight' by American Korean author Susan Choi, 'Audition' by American Japanese writer Katie Kitamura, 'The Rest of Our Lives' by British American Ben Markovits, and English novelist Andrew Miller's 'The Land in Winter'. All six shortlisted authors will receive 2,500 pounds and a specially bound edition of their book.

Shares of Vijay Kedia-backed Atul Auto surged rose sharply after the company posted a 70% year-on-year jump in Q2 net profit to Rs 9.2 crore. Revenue rose 10% to Rs 200 crore, driven by higher sales volumes and improved operational performance in its commercial three-wheeler segment.
